About White Eagle Golf Club
White Eagle Golf Club strives to provide elite golf services with Midwestern hospitality in a family atmosphere. Originally designed by Arnold Palmer, White Eagle Golf Club is located on approximately 163 acres in Naperville, IL. The course opened in 1989, and Arnold Palmer played the ceremonial first round on August 7, 1989. White
Eagle consists of three nine-hole courses:
- Red Couse: holes 1 through 9
- White Course: holes 10 through 18
- Blue Course: holes 19 through 27
Our club’s unique 27 hole layout allows us to provide ample tee time availability for our members. On busy weekends, one set of members tee
off #1 playing the Red-to-White rotation. Meanwhile an entirely different set
of golfers can tee off on #10 playing the White-to-Blue rotation. In addition, the club utilizes all 27 holes during our larger tournaments to spread the field
around and keep pace of play right on schedule.
As a challenging golf course, White Eagle has a rich history
of hosting prestigious golf tournaments. In the early days, White Eagle hosted
the LPGA Chicago Sun Times Challenge golf tournament for several years. Some of
the most famous lady golfers at the time including Nancy Lopez, Betsy King and
Dottie Pepper played at White Eagle (Dottie actually won the tournament in 1992).
In July 1995, a 20 year old amateur golfer named Tiger Woods
set the course record by firing a 67 from the championship tees (7,211 yards).
He bogeyed just one hole (#16), any member will agree that might be the toughest hole on the entire property.
In more recent years, White Eagle continues to host high level competitive golf tournaments, including:
